Several years ago, the Potters Guild was given bricks from a kiln owned by the late Rudy Houk by his wife Alberta. With this donatioin the guild proceded to find a place to build their own kiln. Because the bricks were only a start, we raised money to buy the other materials and components necessary. Many members donated parts, bricks, furniture and much time to the development of a downdraft, gas/wood fired kiln. Now it is a reality and has been fired successfully several times.
